Who are essential workers/travellers?
While restrictions prevent us from welcoming leisure travellers to Hoban Hotel, we are well equipped to welcome essential workers and those travelling for essential reasons. There any many categories that would classify someone as an essential visitor, including those currently isolating as a result of travel or quarantining as a result of a positive Covid-19 test who cannot return to their normal residence.
Essential workers include film crews, hospital staff, essential construction workers, those involved in agriculture, horticulture or animal welfare industries and many more. Essential travellers include those travelling for medical reasons, for essential work, caring for children or vulnerable adults, attending funerals and court appointments.

Covid Safety and Cleanliness Procedures
Your safety and the safety of our staff is our highest priority at all times. Since the outbreak of Covid 19, we have stepped up our already comprehensive cleaning schedule to ensure every part of the hotel that you come into contact with has been fully sanitised. We offer contactless check in and out, have a mandatory mask policy in our public spaces and have strict rules around dining in the hotel. We now use a patented bio misting system called Steri7 in each room before a guests check in and cleaning in our public spaces has been increased. We encourage guests in house to book times for dining for both breakfast and dinner, ensuring social distancing guidelines are adhered to at all times. We are constantly changing and improving our procedures and training in line with government guidelines and welcome comments from guests on how we can improve. All of this is being done by well-trained staff who want to uphold the excellent quality and customer care we are known for.
