We have something to satisfy all palettes. We have an outdoor BBQs area, buffets, working lunches, drinks & snacks to name but a few. Many of these dining options come courtesy of our amazing 1801 restaurant, where our house chef has put all of his experience, thought and consideration into our menu that is sure to have a dish for you.
Corporate Accommodation
The Hoban Hotel contains 80 newly refurbished guest rooms with smart TVs. We offers business rates, offering comfortable rooms, complimentary car parking and Wi-Fi. This preferential corporate rate includes Bed & Full Irish breakfast. We have a loyalty programme for those who book on behalf of their company.
Ease of Access
We are just off the Ring Road, which is next to the N10 and the N76. Just a 5 minute drive takes you to the centre of Kilkenny City, or, if you feel like walking, it’s just 15 minutes. Are you coming off of the motorway? Well, we’re just under 8km from the M9 and we’re just a convenient short distance from Cillin Hill business park if that’s where your event is held.
Free Parking
We have a large car park with plenty of space for large groups. Perfect for a corporate meeting, and complimentary for guests as well. Is your car electric? Well, we also have EV charging ports available.
A great benefit of The Hoban Hotel’s large car park is that we can easily accomodate vans and trucks, or a section can be cordoned off if you require an outdoor area for your event.

Mr PErsonality Festival
The annual Mr. Personality festival is organised by Kilkenny Macra and is Kindly sponsored by Kilkenny/Carlow District Farm Relief Services. Every year, dozens of contestants from around the country descend on Kilkenny to compete.

Rás na mBan is a volunteer-led event held under the umbrella of Cycling Ireland, in partnership with the Women’s Commission of Cycling Ireland.

Since 2022 Rás na mBan, Ireland’s only women’s international cycling race, has chosen the Hoban Hotel Kilkenny as its race HQ. Totalling over 400km of racing action, more than 100 riders, representing 9 different nations, start their racing journey at the Hoban for this famous, tough, six-stage cycling race.
Rás na mBan will have its race HQ again at Hoban Hotel in 2025. We choose the Hoban because of the very high quality of service that we receive from its truly excellent team of staff. Over five days 70+ volunteer race crew, as well as race teams, enjoy the comfort of the hotel, its good food, and the warm welcome always waiting for us at the end of long days racing.
